This is an Active Summer Camp!
Morning Camp
9am-9:15am: Curb-Side Drop-Off
Professional Tennis Instruction
Field Games (soccer, baseball etc)
Cool Down Periods
12pm: Curb-Side Pick-Up
Afternoon Camp
1pm-1:15pm: Curb-Side Drop-Off

Grouping
For safety reasons, children will be placed into smaller groups and remain with their group for the whole week. We encourage all parents to let us know if a friend or sibling will be joining their child at camp so we can make sure that they are both grouped together.
How to Register
Registration is really easy.
Simply stop by at the Parkland Tennis Center or at the P-Rec and complete the forms that they have ready for you.

DO YOU OFFER SIBLING DISCOUNTS?
All our fees are offered at the lowest rate possible for every child. Both siblings pay the same crazy low price!
WHAT ARE MY LUNCH OPTIONS?
We will not be having lunch at camp this year.
After the morning seesion ends, we will close for one hour to clean and prepare for the afternoon session.
WHICH GROUP WILL MY CHILD BE PLACED IN?
Your child will be placed into their appropriate group on their first day of camp.
HOW DO YOU DIVIDE THE CHILDREN INTO GROUPS WHEN OFFERING TENNIS INSTRUCTION AT CAMP?
Your child will be placed into the correct ability level tennis group when receiving their professional tennis training.
IT'S SOUTH FLORIDA IN THE SUMMER....WONT THEY BE TOO HOT?
We completely understand that the summer days are very hot and please note that we take heat safety very seriously. All the children rotate through each of their activities in 45-60 minute rotaions. These rotations include adequate time to be in the Air-Conditioned Club House in between each rotaion to cool down and rehydrate.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Our Camp is on Rain or Shine! In the event of bad weather, we offer plenty of indoor activities to keep your child safe, entertained and happy!
MY CHILD HAS ZERO TENNIS EXPERIENCE. IS THIS OK?
This camp is a great way for your child to take their first steps in learning to play the wonderful sport of tennis. Your child will learn how to hit forehands, backhands, volleys serves and learn to ralley and play friendly matches!

All our tennis instruction is taught by The City of Parkland Tennis Academy Full-Time coaching staff, the best tennis coaches in the area!

About Our Team
Meet the senior staff members at our Summer Camp
Rob Nickels, BSc, MBA.
Director of the City of Parkland Summer Camp
This is my 17th successive year as a Camp Director. I believe that children will engage better in an environment that they feel completely comfortable in. I have experience teaching sports to beginners, top high school tennis players, Nationally Ranked NCAA Division 1 men and women and also Davis Cup Nationally Ranked Adult Players and believe that the positive values that I set will be absorbed by the campers. In 2007 I was a Florida USTA Tennis Champion and competed at the National Tennis Championships achieving National and State Rankings. I was also ranked in the top 20 in Great Britain. I was voted the 2009 High School Coach of the Year and have a Master’s in Business Administration Degree (MBA) and a BSc (Honors) Sport Science and Administration Degree.

Zachary joins our pro team with an outstanding junior and collegiate career. Zachary is our Summer Tennis Camp Manager having run and managed Rob Nickels Tennis Inc. Summer Camps for the previous 3 years. His talent for communicating with juniors and adults alike is truly impressive and is extremely popular with many of our tennis clients.

Ron Perry
Camp Leader & Tennis Professional
Ron joins our pro team with a very impressive coaching resume. Ron has coached and managed Ms. Shenay Perry who has been on the WTA tour since 1999. She holds 15 ITF titles, and achieved a career high World WTA ranking of 40. Ron was also the men’s singles 2009 Florida State Champion and also holds 5 additional titles in Florida including the USTA National Father-Daughter Clay Court Championship in 2010.
